Jackuliaková (1989, Lučenec) is a Slovak photo-based artist and educator. She grew up in the small, south-central town of Lučenec, a region which is geographically and historically relevant in many of her long-term documentary series. She is interested in aspects of mobility and shifting relationships with land and home in Slovakia and its countryside. An autobiographical component is always present in her stories and often influences the places and people she chooses to photograph.
In 2023, Jackuliaková received the Urbanautica Institute Award, in the category of Anthropology and Territories, for her series R2. She was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship Research Grant in 2019, a Latitude Artist-in-Residency in 2016, and several scholarships from the Slovak Arts Council (2017, 2020, 2023).
Her work has been exhibited in the Filter Space Gallery (Chicago, USA), Slovak National Gallery (Bratislava, Slovakia), Gallery Kurzor (Prague, Czech Republic), Gallery of City Blansko (Czech Republic), and Photoport Gallery (Bratislava, Slovakia). It is held in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago and the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava.
